21 Jul Facebook Marketing Doesn’t Have to Cost You Big
If your current goal is to gain more likes and engagement on Facebook, then this article will be of interest to you. If you’re trying to accomplish that for as little added cost as possible, then even better! Facebook marketing can be a little difficult to navigate, but there are ways to use it successfully without breaking the bank.
How Can You Boost Your Reach on Facebook?
Despite its enormous popularity in the past and at present, research says that “organic reach has fallen to six percent.” In other words, if a hundred people are using Facebook, only six of them will see your posted content. This is obviously not what you want. The larger the amount of people who ‘follow’ you, though, the more will see what you have to offer. This may sound easier said than done, but it’s the ‘solution,’ at least, to the issue of low visibility. So, then, how do you get more people following you?
“Strive for transparency.” Be honest and authentic, at least as much as possible (and as is professional). You want to give your business as unique a flair as possible and connect with your clients and potential clients as much as possible. In short, you want your customers to feel as if they know you, at least in part. If they think of you as a faceless brand, one that is distant and unapproachable, then you’re not likely to see a lot of payback in your Facebook market efforts. Let the mask slip a little every now and then!
What kind of content are you sharing? If it’s just walls and walls of text, then it might be time to change it up. The format of your posts matters! People are visual, so sharing images, graphs, charts, and videos will go a long way toward better Facebook engagement. With videos in particular, the amount of videos that people view daily has risen exponentially over the past three years. One look at your own Facebook timeline will likely contain more video content than anything else. You should absolutely capitalize on this, if there’s any way that you can make what you’re currently putting out there in video format.
Widespread Advertising for Better Facebook Marketing
How much are you advertising your Facebook page on your website? Likely, you just have a small icon in the header, footer, or both. Make it more obvious with a big follow button and a clear call to action! If you have an eye-catching space that encourages visitors to ‘like’ you on Facebook, then you’ll almost definitely see an increase in engagement. You can also do this in e-mails, like newsletters, as a more frequent reminder that they can find you on social media. “It’s simply a matter of making it as convenient as possible for people to follow your Facebook page.”
Does your Facebook marketing technique include involvement with any Facebook groups? “What you want to do is get in the habit of consistently engaging with the group by leaving great comments.” This will draw attention to your page and will gradually bring more and more eyes to it. You can also create your own group if there isn’t one that fits the bill, though this will obviously require a bit more work. Still, “if you’re the admin of a group, you’ll get an immense amount of exposure.” With this level of control and influence, you’d be getting a lot done in terms of putting yourself out there, so it’s at least worth considering.
