“There is a multitude of ‘quick fix’ SEO tactics that take hardly any time.” If you employ some of them within your own methods, then you’ll see results that you didn’t expect. For example, employing local SEO strategies is big in establishing yourself in the area (both on and offline). Google My Business is the Google profile that presents your company to the web world. Shaping this account “allows you to edit the info on your business, verify contact info, add images, monitor reviews, and more.” It makes sense that you would want to be in control of your business’ image within the colossus that is Google, doesn’t it? Even if you’ve had a profile in Google Business for a while, take the time to make sure that all of your information is both correct and up-to-date.
Have you ever heard of Google Search Console? This other tool offered by Google really helps in your search engine optimization. If you sign up, then you can “monitor and maintain your site’s presence in Google Search results.” Part of your online marketing strategy is likely to rise in those results, so it makes sense that you would want to keep an eye on them. Many of these SEO tactics help you to not only boost your ranking, but also to understanding why your site is or is not successful.
Website Speed Part of SEO Tactics
A big part of that success comes in the speed of your site. They say that even a one-second delay can cost you big in terms of people deciding against waiting for your site to load. It can mean “7% loss in conversions, 11% fewer page views, and 16% in customer satisfaction,” among other things. And that’s if the delay is only one second! Go to one of many online speed tests to see how your site is faring. Some, like Pingdom’s Website Speed Test, give you a grade and suggestions for how to change what needs fixing.
People are browsing the web on mobile more and more every day. If your site isn’t mobile-friendly by now, then you really need to get to work on that front. Again, employ the help of an online resource in determining whether or not your site is mobile-friendly, and then read up on some of the many guides that will help you to get it in mobile-friendly-shape.
Finally, take a look at the content you’ve written. How are the titles? If they don’t have your keywords in them, or are generally lackluster, then it may be time to makes some edits. After all, these titles are the decision points where your visitors will decide whether or not to read on, so they have to be interesting, at least!
